Memorial Service Marking Second Anniversary of Daisaku Ikeda’s Passing

On November 15, 2025, a memorial prayer service marking the second anniversary of SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's passing was held at the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu in Tokyo, Japan. Soka Gakkai President Minoru Harada led the service, attended by representatives of each division and region in Japan and leaders from 75 countries and territories who were visiting Japan for a training course.

Ceremony Honoring Daisaku Ikeda’s Contributions to Peace Held in Navoiy City, Uzbekistan

A ceremony honoring SGI President Daisaku Ikeda’s contributions to peace was held on September 22, 2025, at the Shirin Palace of Culture in Navoiy City, Republic of Uzbekistan. The event also served as a second memorial for President Ikeda and was attended by about 300 people, including representatives from various sectors, university and education officials, and a Soka Gakkai delegation from Japan.

Symposium on Nuclear Abolition Co-organized by SGI and the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation Honors Legacies of David Krieger and Daisaku Ikeda

On August 23 and 24, 2025, the SGI, together with the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF), held the Choose Hope Symposium in Hiroshima to reaffirm the urgency of abolishing nuclear weapons and the shared determination to build a peaceful future. The symposium honored the enduring legacies of David Krieger (1942–2020) and Daisaku Ikeda (1928–2023), both lifelong advocates for nuclear disarmament.
