From May 20 to 22, 2026, an international academic conference titled “The Philosophy of Peace and Humanism of Daisaku Ikeda and Chingiz Aitmatov: Spiritual Foundations of Sustainable Development in the 21st Century” was held at three venues across the Kyrgyz Republic. The conference explored the philosophical ideas of renowned Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov (1928–2008) and Daisaku Ikeda (1928–2023) in relation to contemporary global challenges.

EASA Publication Honoring Dr. Felix Unger Includes Excerpts from Dialogue with Daisaku Ikeda

On February 25, 2026, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) published: Das Herz Europas: Wissenschaft, Humanität und Verantwortung (tentative translation. The Heart of Europe: Science, Humanity and Responsibility), a book commemorating the 80th birthday of the academy’s honorary president and co-founder, Dr. Felix Unger. It includes “Religion and Tolerance,” the first chapter of The Humanist Principle: On Compassion and Tolerance, the dialogue between Dr. Unger and SGI President Daisaku Ikeda.

Daisaku Ikeda Memorial Lecture in Malaysia Highlights Concept of Human Revolution

On January 11, 2026, the third Daisaku Ikeda Memorial Lecture was held at Brickfields Asia College in Petaling Jaya, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event was organized by Soka Gakkai Malaysia with the support of United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei and the Brickfields Asia College Education Group.

Memorial Service Marking Second Anniversary of Daisaku Ikeda’s Passing

On November 15, 2025, a memorial prayer service marking the second anniversary of SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's passing was held at the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu in Tokyo, Japan. Soka Gakkai President Minoru Harada led the service, attended by representatives of each division and region in Japan and leaders from 75 countries and territories who were visiting Japan for a training course.

The Arabic edition of The Light of Learning: Selected Writings on Education, a compilation of Daisaku Ikeda’s proposals and insights on education, has been published by Arab Scientific Publishers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This marks the first publication of the author’s work in the country.

A new German edition of Choose Life: A Dialogue (German title: Wähle das Leben! Ein Dialog), the dialogue between renowned British historian Dr. Arnold J. Toynbee and SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, has been released by Verlag Herder, a leading publishing house in Germany.
